The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety conducted a study on the effects of drowsy driving and found that 41% (or 2 out of 5) drivers had reported "falling asleep or nodding off" at least once in their lifetime. 11% reported that they had fallen asleep at the wheel within the last year and 40% within the last month.
